An Atchk in Armenian, or Nazar, in Turkish, is a good luck charm consisting of a blue-eyed charm to ward off the evil eye(char atchk), to protect the wearer from evil, and from having others cast the evil eye onto them. It is also supposed to protect you from evil spirits, ghosts, vampires/the undead/strigoi, etc. The atchk charms are made of glass, the earrings have surgical steel ear wires with rubber backings to prevent slippage.
