Cute, Whimsical, Fragant Handmade Spice Mice Holiday Ornaments!

Oh my what are these? An invasion of Spice Mice! Handmade and ready to adorn your Christmas Tree(or Hanukkah Star)whimsical and slightly quirky, made from an upcycled walnut shell half, filled with fragrant spices and dried citrus peels, and ready to add some holiday fun to your decor. The inspiration came long ago when I was 7 and purchased one at my elementary school Christmas craft sale, it was made from local walnuts that belonged to the old walnut groves of Northridge. A whimsical little holiday spice mouse I bought with my own money I saved up, and he hung on the tree every year. When I got older and began riding my bike to junior high school, I began to collect walnuts that fell off the same walnut trees, and would use the shells to make more Spice Mice ornaments. The walnut shells were a part of my Northridge legacy as they came from those old walnut trees that used to be part of so many groves that covered parts of my hometown from the the 1910's-1950's until suburbanization wiped a lot of them out. I still have those old Spice Mice, and now the inspiration lives on in these new ones. They are $5.50 each, all sales final, no returns.
